Brian Donnelly
J.D., LL.M. Principal
Over the past nine years, Brian has assisted 15 companies in a variety of industries, focusing on professional services, light manufacturing and construction. Brian has also developed a specialty in assisting cash distressed companies, which includes companies that are in hyper growth mode and unable to fund growth.
Before beginning his consulting career, Brian was a corporate attorney with over 18 years of experience, including at leading Silicon Valley firms (i.e., Brobeck, Cooley, DLA Piper). He focused his law practice on pre-public venture financing and executive compensation, and later at Cornerstone Law Group (which he founded), general corporate representation. Brian’s training and experience as a corporate attorney allows him to immediately and cost effectively address many varied issues facing pre-public companies, including HR, corporate compliance, Board relations and matters, and contracts and legal disputes. Brian’s ability to negotiate and minimize outside legal expenses has been an important value add.
Brian earned a B.A. and M.A in Accounting from The Catholic University of America, a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and an LL.M. (Tax) from New York University School of Law.
